Expert design consultation
Work 1-on-1 with a protein engineer to review, refine, and co-develop your construct strategy — before you commit resources downstream.
What is expert design consultation?
Developing a biologic is not a linear process. Even experienced researchers encounter critical decision points such domain architecture, linker geometry, expression host selection, solubility strategies. These parameter often require expert second opinion that can redirect weeks of wasted iteration.
Our expert design consultation pairs you directly with a senior protein engineer from who understands your construct at a molecular level. This is not a generic advisory session. It is a structured, iterative co-development engagement tied directly to your Receptorix workspace.

How the consultation runs
Submit your construct + request
Share your current Receptorix project link and a brief description of where you're stuck or uncertain. No lengthy intake form.
Engineer assignment (48h)
A protein engineer with relevant domain experience is matched to your project and reviews your construct before the first session.
Brief + refinement round
You implement feedback; your engineer reviews the updated construct in a follow-up session and signs off on the design direction.
Live review session
90-minute structured session covering design logic, failure modes, and alternative strategies. Recorded and shared post-call.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to have a complete construct to book a consultation?
No. We can engage at the design intent stage — even if you only have a target and a rough domain plan. Early-stage consultations often have the highest impact.
Who owns the design brief produced during the session?
You do. The brief is co-authored but IP ownership stays with the client. If a Receptorix License Agreement is in place, the brief is automatically versioned and linked to your construct record.
Can I extend the engagement beyond one refinement round?
Yes — extended retainer engagements are available. These are typically structured as monthly hour bundles and are often a precursor to an Embedded Research Partnership.
I'm a graduate student enrolled in university, can I request a service?
Absolutely. In addition to the learning tool and computational resources we offer for free, students who are doing independent research on biologic development are welcome to submit a request. All requests will be evaluated equally and will be considered according to our standardized process.
